Got up early this morning & went for a swim. My recovery time between laps felt shorter and I didn't feel as out of breath. I did 3 additional laps in 5 fewer minutes than Thursday, so I'm not necessarily swimming any faster but I'm resting less anyway. After work tonight I have a 90 minute massage. Cannot wait.
Have a great Tuesday!0 -
Thanks for the encouragement!
Monday Goals Report:
1) Eat within cals +/- 150. Nope! Last night I went out with my hubs for a celebratory dinner. I went 472 calories over my goal thanks to a delicious dessert. Honestly, it could have been a lot worse.
2) Eat veggies with EVERY meal and snack. Trying. Yesterday had veggies with 2 meals and 1 snack.
3) Log in dinner FIRST so I can work backwards from there. Check! Yes but did not log dessert…lesson learned.
4) Plan food in ADVANCE. Check! I did my whole day in the morning before I ate anything.
5) Get my step goal in SEVEN days this week. Monday, check!0 -
Logging dessert is an important part of pre-logging since they tend to be calorie dense! But it sounds like overall you're doing a pretty good job with your goals. And sometimes you just need to let yourself get the dessert.
My massage therapist's whole family has the flu so now I am doing Pilates tonight. I do enjoy it. So sad about the massage but I don't want to be in that close of proximity with someone with the flu even if she was feeling good enough to do it.0 -
Nice night tonight! Ran to trainer workout. New one today. This workout was very much TRX based. A lot of core and arm work! Very hard. Felt good by the time I got home though, so took a brief run with Fells as well. He liked that.
Laura, swimming and Pilates makes a busy day! Sorry that you had to forego the massage. Better that than getting sick though.
Sounds like a nice dinner, April. Glad that you enjoyed it. I think that the key with make this new lifestyle work, enjoy and appreciate the special meals, but don't blindly eat. You've got this!0
