It is not so much that I began to run, but that I continued.

Stealing the daily Runner's World quote today. It's true of running and many other things.

The swim party sounds like fun, Marla.

Glad you got the run in, Laura.

    Nice goals, April.

Saying that, I did nothing yesterday, other than the stairs. Didn't even go to bed early which was my rationalization for not going on a run with Fells. Ate over my calories. Didn't exercise. Didn't do anything productive last night but veg out in front of the computer. I didn't even really enjoy it.

Oh well, today is a new day. I did get up early this morning despite going to bed late. That means that I can leave work early enough to run to the Total Body Conditioning class tonight.

My goals today are to get to the class, get to bed early!, and stay within my calories -- which won't be a problem if I do the first two.

Tomorrow morning's goal is to get a run in first thing in the morning!!! I got to get back to doing this on Fridays!

Donna remind me when your HM is.

I slept very poorly again last night so I didn't get up early to swim. I was 50/50 on whether I was going to do it anyway - it would have been a bonus workout instead of a planned one. I do have Jason after work. Today is the end of my workout week (Friday is my rest day) and my body is getting tired so it's okay that I skipped the swim.

Hope everybody has a great Thursday.

The half marathon is September 6th.

Last week ran 3 miles Tuesday w/trainer workout, 3 miles Thursday w/fitness class, 4 miles Friday, 3 miles Saturday w/fitness class, 11 miles Sunday

This week ran 3 miles Tuesday, ...
I'll get the 3 miles in tonight w/fitness class and Saturday (3 miles w/fitness class) and Sunday (12 miles), and hopefully 4 hours tomorrow morning before a full day of work (some of my Fridays are half days or off days).

.But I would have preferred to have run last night rather than tomorrow morning (to make sure it gets done), or done both. I'm annoyed with myself for not getting out, but it's really not going to set me back, as long as I get the running in tomorrow.

The last two weeks I'm hoping for:
Week 1: 3 miles Tuesday w/trainer workout, (hopefully 4 miles on Wednesday), 3 miles Thursday w/fitness class, 6 miles Friday (it's a half day of work day), then Flyball tournament Saturday and Sunday
Week 2: 10k on Monday (Labor Day), 3 miles on Tuesday w/trainer workout .. then no idea what I'm doing ... Saturday half marathon

Hang in there bts I have had too many of those days. I am going one day at a time with food these days.

Last night much better, no binge.

Been having heartburn lately, know it's from too much wine and balsamic vinegars I cook with so starting yesterday trying to eat more bland.

Missed class this morning, just too tired. This month of more work is getting to me and trying not to worry about daughters divorce. She thought house sold but loan fell through. Watching her stressful life is hard.

Thanks for the threadstarter, Donna. I might be slow but I’m faster than everyone on the couch. Hope you make your goals today!

Laura, so glad that your foot was feeling better this am!

Marla, glad to hear that you had a good day yesterday. Have another one today and you’ll be on a streak.

FEELING GOOD! Like borderline annoying good :)

Yesterday I had a good day and after dinner I really wanted dessert. But I was so tired and my toddler didn’t go down easy that I just skipped it even though I wanted it. So exhaustion > dessert!

Tonight I have a date with my hubs so I slept in until 7 so I wouldn’t pass out at 9pm. So I went for a nice half-hour walk at lunch with a friend and am planning to get my steps in. We’re going to the movies so I’m poking around online to see what some healthy choices might be. Looks like I might just bring an Atkins sugar-free treat.

    Wednesday Goals Report:
    1) Eat within cals +/- 150. No, but close, I was over by 156.
    2) Eat veggies with EVERY meal and snack. I had veggies 3/5 times.
    3) Log in dinner FIRST so I can work backwards from there. Check!
    4) Plan food in ADVANCE. Check! I did my whole day in the morning before I ate anything.
    5) Get my step goal in SEVEN days this week. Monday, check! Tuesday, check! Wednesday, check!
