Fridge still hasn't been fixed. Grrrr! I'm adjusting to walking across the house to our other fridge to get things I need to cook. It's inconvenient, but at least I didn't resort to snacking yesterday.
Was up late with friends so I didn't get up to run this morning. I have a cross training day this week anyway, so I'm going to swim instead. Haven't been swimming in a while, so I'm looking forward to it.
Today kicks off more stuff. AWANA for the kids (I'm helping with registration) and swim lessons. A lot of running around right at dinner time. Still going to try and make sure we eat well.
Have a great day everyone!
goals for today:
Get a good swim in.
Count my calories and stay within my goal.
Survive the stress!0 -
Valma it's a good thing you have a backup fridge anyway! Recently I saw a post from someone who was using coolers to tide them over. That would stink!
I went for a 10.57 mile bike ride after work last night. Went basically the same loop as Sunday but in reverse. My legs were screaming! Wish the calories I burned were screaming too. (Today's thread starter is funny!)
3 mile run this morning & have my trainer after work tonight.0 -
Valma, you might find that the fridge inconvenience helps you make healthier choices. I keep my diet soda in the downstairs fridge and I’m often just not motivated enough to go get it.
Laura, sorry you couldn’t swim yesterday. Those calories should just fall off!
Thanks for all of the votes. For some reason it’s very hard for me to make decisions between two good choices. The Pilates class has it! I’m going to register tonight. Do I really need a Pilates mat or can I just use my Yoga mat?
Last night I was unexpectedly—and wonderfully—home alone for a few hours before I went to bed ridiculously early. It’s so rare that I get to be alone.
Got my steps in yesterday and ate within 150 of my calories. Today I got up at 4:15 (I keep saying that because I can hardly believe I do it) to do an hour of cardio before I worked out with my trainer. Felt a little nauseous but also hungry so have been eating.0 -
Valma, hope the fridge gets fixed as soon as possible. Good job with keeping with the healthy food!
Good luck with the Pilates, April.
I'm going to get my bike out on Monday, Laura. You have inspired me!
Got the run to the trainer workout last night. This month is focused on core/abs work, although it's still full body, with lots of TRX exercises. I begged him to drop the number of leg lifts from 15 to 10 and he okayed it. He normally doesn't do that, but I normally don't ask. It helped so much!! When I knew that I only had to do 10, I made sure that they were 10 good ones, and knew that it would be over soon. At 15, I was losing enthusiasm (on the second time around) by 6 and despite trying not to, was resting too much (any amount is too much) between them. I'll try for 12 next week.
This morning Fells sat on my head at 5:20 am, so we got up and out running at dawn. We got 4 miles in before breakfast.
I'm doing a little better with the hunger today.
Got my stair walking in this morning, need to repeat it this afternoon, and tonight I can rest and catch up on bills.0 -
