My Scale is Going Up and Down

I am eating all paleo foods and I have lost 16lbs so far in a little over a month. Now my scale is wavering between 2 lbs going up and down. Can anyone relate to this? I don't want to lose hope in this eating plan. Thanks! Kelly

Dump the scale for two weeks then dump it for a month, etc. Scales are very demoralizing and cause stress, I do it every few months now but I really do not care about them anymore.

That is normal, it's not a good measurement of your health & fitness- check out this article at Coach Fitness

Yes, I can relate to this, and I agree with Clutch, if you can, I haven't mastered that one yet  but I've managed to not care so much about it and get on it when I feel like I may have lost something. I usually go by how I fit in my clothes, especially the smaller stuff I had to squeeze in before.

ETA: there are factors, such as what you're eating, how many cals and fat, etc. What helps me through a "plateau" has been fat, mainly mac nuts and meat fat, just the fat.

    This this and this.

There's many things that affect what one weighs on the scale on any given day. And it can be a huge difference. The scale is completely unable to differentiate fat loss/gain from any other factor. Eat healthy food, move your body and end scale obsession in whatever way works for you. The scale is NOT an indicator at all of HEALTH. And what if you gain weight because you gained muscle but your body actually got smaller and healthier?
