Hey guys, this is my first post here and I'm done stuffing myself until I feel sick just because there's food in the house.

I've read thru many of the old posts in this group and have bookmarked the websites recommended to read when I feel like eating when I'm not hungry. I know this isn't a 1-day process and that it's not easy. I know it'll take a while to fix this unhealthy connection I've made with food but I'm ready to put my all into it and try as hard as I can.

I just threw out all my little 100-cal snacks which I buy because "hey what if I get hungry during the day and want a snack?" but which I end up eating all at once. I also threw out the candy which I keep around when I need something to keep me going.

And I hope this time, I'll be able to make lasting changes to my diet and life with the help of this group :) Thanks you guys it's good to know I'm not alone!

    Glad you found us! Check out the Me vs The Binge challenge, as it helps keep things in perspective. A good way of getting rid of the binging food is by donating it to a local shelter or soup kitchen, as they really need it and you can feel like your progress helps other people as well.
