Visualization

Hello,

Visualization is a great tool to keep you on track. It is a very challenging endeavour that requires positivity! Today I was feeling frustrated (DAY 2 dieting on here) asking myself pointless questions: How did I let this happen? Do I really look this big? Why can't I run as fast or as far anymore? Yet, I was able to bring myself back into a positive frame of mind (my goals) by imaging myself able to run fast and far looking fit!

One of my greatest day-dreams/fitness fantasies is crossing the finish line as a track and field ALL-STAR! I imagine myself fit as a whistle --sprinting, pumping and pushing thrugh an accelerating 800m lap. I feel empowered. Adrenaline rushing through every vein. I am wearing my highschool blue and yellow run club colours (just as I once did). I look fantastic in the metallic blue spandex and crop singlet --kind of like Jordan Hasay --powering admist the smoltering sunny hot day. I can smell the track. A blend of sweat and synthetic rubber. My ears have popped under the pressure of my surge and I can hear my heartbeat pounding. My breath in a controlled heated rythm. In this moment -- i feel so beautiful.

Needless to say, it really helped me feel better!!

It reminded me that I am not stuck in this uncomfortable moment. With hard word, dedication and strategic planning (the most important) I can be that track all-star (in a park, on a treadmill or an empty stadium).

I am going to have to engage my imagination and creativity.

Do you have any pictures, day-dreams (keep it clean ;) ) or empowering images of yourself or others that HELP?!

Your description of the track, smell, and heat is great. It makes my muscles twitch even though I am sitting at my desk.
    Great Visualization, thanks.
