The Following? Hmm, haven't heard of that one. I probably don't need more nightmare fodder either, especially when my husband is traveling I sleep fitfully.

    Monday=0 drinks
    Tuesday=0 drinks

Mani and Martini tonight, we'll see if I stop at one, depends on how long we have to wait for the mani, I suppose.

The Following has Kevin Bacon in it. It is really good. Netflix only has season 1, so I can't wait until I can watch more! But at least my dreams haven't been as bad. LOL

    Happy Anniversary to you both!

Well I drank wine and had a whiskey/diet coke. At least I exercised.
Maybe I'll get my 1st 0 tonight? :glasses:

Great pictures Sydney- it looks like your family had a great time!

I have not been good moderating and the scale shows it. Up 10 pounds. Not only that but my BP is up 10 pts as well.

On a positive note, it does motivate me. So it's back to logging my calories and making myself accountable again. I am thankful for having you guys as support. Just reading your day to day posts makes me feel as if we are all in this together.

    Thanks to you all! :flowerforyou:

Wednesday-1 flight and 1 beer....that's my plan we shall see if I can refrain from having a drink when I get home :ohwell:

Full Bottle of White wine and then some Vodka rocks. My eyes are really red today. I look like *kitten* but I don't feel bad.

    Happy Anniversary girls!

I have season 2 of "The Following" sitting on my DVR but I haven't seen season 1 yet so it just sits there. I should probably see if I even like it.

Speaking of Kevin Bacon, my 2nd husband worked with him on "A Few Good Men" so I am 2 degrees from Kevin and since you all know me, you are 3 degrees.

    Have a lushy wonderful day.

PS Hang in there Kat. You are doing great. I can't fathom the grief. I am proud of you.

    Wednesday-1 flight and 1/2 a beer at home...I consider that a success!!!
Thursday-well might go out to lunch with my mom today so....I may have a drink or two, not sure what that will lead to when I get home?? But some form workout needs to happen, either gym or walk....most likely walk...not sure a strength workout will be very productive after a drink or two

    Almost friday, WOOHOO!!!!!

    Monday-half bottle of red
    Tuesday-0
    Wendesday-5 oz red

Not sure about tonight, might finish that bottle. I am feeling all the drinking I have done this summer. I am doing some major meal planning this weekend and making sure there are no open bottles of wine starting on Monday. I really want to get back to no drinking during the week.

I went and spent the afternoon at the salon...wine was offered. 'Nuf said. :drinker:

Think we're taking my MIL out for her b-day dinner tonight so I'll have something tonight as well.
I really need to just focus on my fitness for now until we come back from our trip next week.

I'm a little hungover today....nothing tremendous but a little slow and a little tired. I had 2 bourbon cocktails at lunch with my mom and then Len texted me to see if I wanted to go out to our favorite beer place for dinner and well DUH!!! So I had 2 beers at dinner and then 2 beers when we got home!

    Monday-0
    Tuesday-0
Wednesday- 1 flight and 1/2 beer
    Thursday-2 cocktails and 4 beers
Friday-really not sure I should probably just take it easy. I really need a workout. I SHOULD go to the gym but might just go for a walk, we'll see!

Tomorrow we are taking the bus into Phoenixville for a beer event, then going to movie tavern. Looking forward to a fun day!!!

Yea I feel like I would be dead after that much Tequila....vodka is a different story

Yea I really need to get it together. Way too much drinking lately. And the scale is showing it.

Friday- red wine probably about a bottle
Saturday- a few vodka and diet tonic, a glass of champagne and red wine (not sure how much)
    Sunday- one glass of red

There is no open wine in my house. Well there is a crappy bottle of red that I really don't like at all. So Monday-Thursday is gonna be zeros!

Hi lushes. I kept it prettty moderate this weekend. lots of vodka with limeade. No drinking this week until I am at the airport Friday. I will keep it moderate since I will be with my kids and grandkids.

I am out of sorts. I have struggled with depression for years but I can usually control it and cope. The meds have worse side effects than the depression so even though I have tried many, I don't take any. Today for some reason it is really really bad. Deep dark I want to sit in the corner and cry all day bad. It is very difficult to work but I don't have any sick or vactaion time and I can't just take time with no pay. It becomes a corrective action issue if you do. So here I am at work thinking of all the different ways I could make the darkness go away for good. Fortunately I have enough common sense left not to act on any of it but I am really down deep and I hate this feeling. I wish I knew why it is gripping me and what I can do to get it back under control. Thanks for being here for me allowing me to vent. Take care lushes.

I have to agree with Ashley, I have a lot of anxiety issues and something about sweating always helps a bit. Feel better!

Hello Lushes!! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!! I drank way, way too much...and trying to de-puff and cleanse. It's a never ending cycle with me. Oh well, I really love my wine & craft beers!! :drinker:

This past weekend my hubby and I went to the Oklahoma City Zoo. Very cool place & I highly recommend it. It isn't as great as the zoo we have here in Wichita (Sedgwick County Zoo is ranked nationally)...but it was neat. Lots of baby animals, like a baby gorilla and baby chimps. Plus, they have a 3 year old elephant who is still tiny (at least compared to her parents). So, it was a lot fun!! And neat brewery place in Bricktown (OKC bar district) called Bricktown Brewery. I highly recommend if you're ever in the area!

Hi Robin, I wish there was some magic I could conjure that would make your depression go away! I think most of us have had bouts of depression time to time and know how hard it is to break out of it.

Sometimes talking about it is a good start. Having others validate your feelings, and being a sounding board.

Regarding time off from work, perhaps your doctor could arrange a medical leave? Even if it's without pay, it may prevent the corrective action bull****.

In any event you have all of us who really do appreciate what you do for us and care about you! :flowerforyou:

PLEASE feel free to vent to us!

edit: I guess the board filters censured my use of the word bulls$it!

    ^^What they said Mama Lush!!^^

I think we're about the same age???? Have you had your hormones checked? You know that really can *kitten* up your mental state as well...so while the meds for depression can cause all kinds of side affects...just getting your hormones regulated (usually with testosterone and estrogen...in pill or cream form) can make a world of difference emotionally. Just a thought.

That helped me a ton along with making sure I exercised....a natural anti-depressant as I'm sure you know.

Vent any time..feel free to message me as well.
    ((HUGS))

Going to go to the gym tonight and go to a yoga class with my good friend. It'll be nice. Have worked out since last Wednesday...unless you count walking around the zoo on Friday, which I kind of do because it was a good 2-3 miles in the hot sun, so I'm counting it!

I wrote a poem. Good therapy.
I had a zero last night. Step in the right direction.

Yes I have had my hormones checked. I am okay. I am working with my doctor on the blood pressure meds and I am going to touch base with him on helping me get a medical leave.

I am happy to have all of you here for me. Thank you very much.

My husband actually got the lawn mown yesterday which really helped my mindset today. I am doing better but certainly not great. Trying for another zero tonight. Lots and lots of water and a potential stroll in the rain to touch base with the Goddess. It certainly can't hurt.

Liquid dinner last night on account of husband being in Virginia for the night. Then I cried for hours about Lily. I don't like to cry in front of people, even husband, so I think I really needed a good cry. Unfortunately crying seems to be even more dehydrating than wine so when they're paired together it makes for a rough next day. I'm going to go work out though because that usually helps.

Congrats to those getting 0's, I'm upholding my lush card in the meantime :drinker:

    Also Happy Fall ????????????????
