Well, only 3 more days to go and today is weigh in! I am the same.....the only thing I have done differently in this challenge is that I have done a minimum of 10,000 steps a day. I even got in over 26,000 one day...and I was really pushing that!!

Dee HAPPY dance you got yor fitbit!! And violet...I did not know that they came in that color!! I will have to go Amazon.com and check it out!!

So folks.....3 days left....any ideas for the next challenge. Looks like we are all in for another one.

Let me start off this idea...with how many of us have a device that picks up our movements (not bowl movements Pat lol....), our steps, etc via electronically? Like a Fitbit, Up etc??? I am NOT encouraging everyone to have one, I am just trying to get an idea for another challenge.

Today is Friday...so what are you all doing this weekend?? I am takingin a movie today and then heading 'home' to my residence where I work on Saturday...as my long weekend comes to an end!

Have a great one folks....
Nancy (where it is still 104 F BUT everything including the metro is air conditiioned!)

    Morning.

I don't have a fitbit or anything that counts steps. So I wouldn't be able to do that kind of challenge. Although, I do use a "map my walk" type app for my actual walks...I can adjust the challenge to fit myself if that is what everyone else wants to do.

Going out to lunch with a friend today so I am not eating breakfast. That may or may not be a good thing! But I have a craving to satisfy and I know that it will include a margarita too! So off to drink some more water and save my calories for lunch!

I'm still planning on finishing this challenge strong. I have been at a standstill almost the whole challenge. up 2 down 2 up 3 down 3... but I am still logging, drinking my water and usually exercising each day. I know it will all come out good in the end.

    Have a good day/weekend!

Good day all (wherever you might be in your day, lol). Well, I'm starting to feel a lot better. WhooooHoooo. That means I'll be able to do the Walk to End Alzheimer's tomorrow. I haven't posted this because I didn't want anyone to think I was advertising or anything and if I over-step the rules let me know and I'll delete this........but.......if you would be interested in sponsoring me for the walk you can go to http://act.alz.org/site/TR/Walk2014/MO-StLouis?px=8210901&pg=personal&fr_id=5226 No amount is too small and all money goes towards research to put an end to this horrible disease. I can think of nothing worse than losing my memories. I walk for my Grandma Elliott who is in the early stages of Alzheimer's. Thank you for any help you can give. I'm sad that I won't have my new FitBit by tomorrow. That would be some awesome steps, lol.

Well it appears that upping my calorie intake has worked. The scale is starting to move downwards. Hopefully, all the weight loss isn't from my being sick but hey I'll take it any way I can get it, lol.

Also got some very good news yesterday. Michael had his viral load run for the second time after his Hepatitis C treatment. It came back "none detected"!!!!!!! That means he is for all intents and purposes cured!!! Praise the Lord! I am definitely doing a major happy dance. We have been dealing with this demon since 2 weeks after we started dating. It will be so nice not to have to worry. He still has to have a viral load run every year or so just to make sure.

Hope everyone has a fantastic day. Any big plans for the weekend? (Sorry Nancy, I know you are headed back to work......no fun. Can't wait to see pics from your vacation though).

Dee (waiting for the cool down coming overnight here in St. Louis where the heat index is going to be 102 today....yuck!)

    Hello everyone,

As of right now I do not have a fitbit type device. I am waiting for the Atlas to come out in December. ( https://www.atlaswearables.com/ ) I am excited because this device won't just track steps, but will track what you burn in every type of workout. I don't understand how it works, but it can tell the difference in what exercise you are doing and even correct your form if it is wrong. (It can also track swimming). So long story short, I do not have a device to track steps yet, but I do have an app I could use in a pinch.

This weekend I will be helping paint a neighbor's fence, followed by bowling and on Saturday I am going to the SLC Comic Con. My friend had an extra ticket and I am super excited. I found out yesterday, but if I had known sooner I probably would be dressing up.

Dee, Hooray that you are starting to feel better!

    Hi all!

Watermelon jalapeno margarita sounds amazing! I'm a sucker for spicy foods and drinks.

I have a fitbit, but Zac the Atlas sounds awesome. Can't wait to hear what you think of it once it comes out.

Dee, congratulations on the great news!!! Hope you get to revel in the joy of that for a little bit!

Plan this weekend is mostly to recover from the past three weekends of travel with a lot of rest. Other than that, I have my chronic illness support group tomorrow and I'll be co-facilitating since I'm one of two admins who can make it. Then, homework. Boo!

Speaking of my recent travel, my friend just posted this picture from my mom's wedding:

Isn't she gorgeous? My mama made a beautiful bride :)

Nancy, I do not yet have the new photos, but I do have some from the same location from past years. When I get to my laptop (my work computer has blocked access to photobucket) I will put up one of the older ones. I am actually back down to the same weight I was for the picture three years ago so it'll work out haha.
