I completed my first round of C25K in June...and then had fits and starts with running the rest of the summer. I got a new bike, found a yoga studio I love, started dating someone, got busy at work (the list goes on and on)...and kind of let running go to the back burner.
Jumping back on the wagon, started with Week 2 this week, did W2D2 last night!

Welcome back! Summer is a hard time to keep motivated over running in the heat. It takes all my effort to keep myself running 3x a week, so I can understand the hiatus. However, you're back and you'll do great. Keep running and get stronger over the winter, which will help when next summer's heat rolls around.0

I am restarting as well--I finished c25k on the treadmill back in the spring, and had a rough time transitioning to outdoors (especially with the temperatures). I did two days of week 3 this week, and plan to skip ahead to week 5 tomorrow. Trying to get ready for a 5k in October--hope I make it!0

I remember the hard transition, too. I transitioned in the spring & didn't have to compete with the summer heat and it was still hard. Keep at it. It only takes a few weeks and you'll be back to "normal", then you'll slowly start to improve. Try running outside as much as possible while you retrain. It may slow you down a little bit but not much (or not at all.....we never know how things affect us 'til we try) and you'll be stronger for your 5K in October. You can do this.0
