I am pretty new here and was wondering if anyone else here is Pale or Primal? I actually was low carb first (Atkins), went off, had horrible results health wise including Celiac disease, and then have been up and down since in my carb levels. I do best low carb Paleo, Primal second best so right now I am trying to do low carb Primal. I have slipped up a lot this week, tomorrow is a new day!

  • I am preparing to restart LCHF after a long period of trying to lose weight the conventional way. My plan is to try and incorporate paleo philosophy into my intake and eat whole and organic foods wherever possible. However, I love my cheese and there are a lot of whole foods that I can't eat unless it's drenched in something very man made so I will be limited in how much I can adhere to primal eating lol.

Feel free to add me. I am off the wagon this weekend for various reasons but have been thinking of nothing else but getting back on the wagon, and I'm REALLY looking forward to the increase energy and decreased appetite that comes with being in ketosis!
  • I don't really consider myself "officially" Paleo but I started eliminating grains in July. Looking around for new recipes to try I discovered Paleo and while I'm not a strict follower, probably 90% of what I eat could fall under the Paleo definition. There are a few things I doubt I'll ever give up (who can pass up sweet corn in the midwest in August? Not me!) but I'm discovering a lot of new recipes and things to try. I also tend to eat more fruit than is compatible with a strictly low-carb Paleo approach. So I guess that makes me... not a strict follower but sympathetic and definitely supportive, if that's any good.
  • Me! I am!

I'm practicing...and I do mean practicing :) ... a low carb per Protein Power with Primal lifestyle philosophies and mostly Paleo choices. Even auto-immune/anti-inflammatory protocols.

No eggs, no dairy, no nightshades, no gluten or grains, no sugar. Real food, organic, grass-fed, local. That's the plan, anyway. The actual practice is not so easy to perform. But you all know that. And perfect is not what I'm after anyway.

I've been doing this for awhile...sometimes better than others. REAL serious and determined right now. Any support in welcome and maybe I can lend some as well.
