I hope you all had a great day/! I thought i would start the thread for today (although you all are getting ready to call it a day where you are). I am going to try and post some photos of my minibreak. The weather here is finally cooling down...yesterday only 104 F and about the same today...and NO humiditiy. So I can breathe better here too like Dee in St. Louie!!! I may be getting my 10,000 steps in, but I am struggling with eating now. Not sure....well I know....stress from work...and that ol' 'comfort in eating' thing that goes on. I will pull out of it....just need to getmy head around it, but will continue to get those steps in. Gosh, if anyone needs a good cry.....get the movie 'The fault is in the stars'....what a nice movie....and the 'water works' will turn on too!!! Hope you all have a good night and have a great day too!!! Nancy

This is the Burj Al Khalifa....supposedly the tallest building in the world and the one filmed in the last Mission Impossible movie with Tom Cruise.

I was sitting in the restaurant facing this...this is the 'indoor ski' slope at the Mall of the Emirates. There is a ski slope in the background with the ski lift and in the front there are smaller slopes for sledding and to the left in the front is where people can get inside these huge plastic balls and roll down the small slope.

i took this shot from my hotel room. I was in the tallest hotel in Dubai....and the photo overlooks the main busy road in the city, and there are hotels on the opposite side of the road where you can see the swimming pools (or can barely make them out) and in the background is an area called Jumeriah Beach....and the dockyards are far off to the right.

It looks like you are having a good time on your mini break. I have not seen the movie The Fault in Our Stars, but I did enjoy reading the book. I will have to check that one out. Good luck on getting past the stress eating and such. Those moments are never fun to deal with. I didn't make it to the gym last night after class (I was done with the day) So I will make sure I get there tonight after class.
(PS I could not do half of what goes no in Dubai. I saw that they have a tennis court that is on the top of on of those buildings. That is a tall glass of nope. Not a fan of heights)0 -
Zac, hope you got to the gym! Every time we move...helps us get those extra lbs off and lifts our energy levels. I pooped out yesterday (Sept 9)....and only got about 5,000 steps in. Too darned tired when I got off of work. Today (Sept 10) is another day and I will make sure I MOVE my buns!!! On another forum I was on for a while, one of the gals said she did 'squats' everytime she went to the toliet at work...so that is my challenge today...to try and get 20 'squats' in everytime I have to 'pee'....which is a lot since i am trying to increase my water intake. Just hope that I don't fall 'back' into the toliet doing them if I get off balance! lol!!!0
