zen labs 10K app question

I started with day one after finishing C25K, but tacked on an extra mile at the end because it didn't seem like enough of a work out. Is there any reason why I shouldn't just skip to W6D3? I scanned through the earlier weeks and didn't see anything interesting, but I figured those who have done this might know if I would be skipping something valuable like speed drills or the like.
Thanks.

I have no idea what the various weeks are with the zen labs 10K app. Some apps deliberately repeat the C25K so that they are an all inclusive C2-10K. Maybe your app does that too?

The one I used. went straight from the C25K run 1/2 hour to the first week being a run/walk for an hour. I had difficulty with the 1/2 hour to 1 hour sudden increase, even though I was walking a lot of it, so, in the first couple of weeks, had to add some shorter runs in between the hour runs to keep my spirits up and keep me going. It worked and I soon was running for an hour straight.

At this point there are many ways for you to increase your running and no one way is the best or the worst, just better or worse for you.

    My goals after C25K were:
    1) Run/walk 5K, not just a half hour as it takes me longer than that to do 5K
    2) Run 5K with no walking
    3) Run/walk 4 miles
    4) Run 4 miles
    etc
and I'm still going with this; slowly trying to increase my miles per week and miles per long run and probably will be doing so for some time.

I just graduated the zen labs c25k today, and Monday morning I'll be going on to the zen labs c210k. When I opened my app, it asked me if I'd done the c25k. I said yes, and it told me to start on week 9. The first 8 weeks of the c10k mirrors the c25k exactly. So you could probably skip the first 8 weeks if you just want to get to the running.

What I like about the zen labs is that while it does give you quite a jump in time running (from 30min to 40min), it doesn't start you off immediately going 60 minutes. When I was doing c25k though, I always completed a 3 mile course on my running days. The c25k took a little over a mile and a half on average, and the rest of the distance I just walked. It takes me between 50-60 minutes. I can go the distance walking, I just need to do it running now.
