Howie, I hear ya... It was hard for me to at first but I was at a point where I tried all the conventional ways. When I first started it, I was still afraid of fat. Not anymore! I see how my body is changing and I love it. But you take your time pay attention to your body and decide what is good for YOU.

Mark, stay on the course!! You'll hit that goal.

John, I use the regular foam rollers, I tried the knobby ones and they hurt too much. And yes all guys should learn to listen louder and talk softer.
At today's session, whenever I feel the self critical me emerging, I just smile and think "oh well I'll just try again"

Stacy, hope you are still going strong on the sugar detox.

Things went well today eating wise. I was at 99 for my protein Heronh. LOL I tried heavy cream in my coffee this morning. Bleck not for me I like my coffee black the way it was intended. lol I did pick up some Kerrygold butter and that is yummy. I also got some good cheese that is natural. Trying to do the natural stuff where I can afford it. The meat is just way expensive. Heck even the regular meat is expensive.

I bought a book called the The Makers Diet. It sounds like something I will like. From what I have read so far he is organic food and grass feed meat just like paleo, however he also adds in high end grains which I like and takes away the meats that were considered unclean in the Old Testament such as pork and crustaceans. I can also get behind the principles he bases it on more so than I can with paleo.

How often do we want to do a hangout? Every week, once a month?

Hammer, good to see that you are doing better.. Sounds like you are doing pretty darn good there Howie.

Today I reached 100 days of login to MFP! I never thought I would see that, and I can that ya'll for that one.

Howie, I am good most weeks. Others may find that bi-weekly works better.

Howie - That's GREAT! Keep doing what you are doing and I hope you have a great weekend. Stay strong and make good choices ;)
Kerrygold butter is good! When I see a sale I stock up. Butter freezes well.
We bought raw butter once and it is so good, very buttery and super rich but its so expensive. We bought it just to taste it and see we can taste the difference. Not only can we taste the difference, we can smell the difference. I don't know if you have a Trader joe's where you live but I've bought raw milk cheddar and cheese from New Zealand. Dairy from New Zealand , Ireland and Australian are all grass fed and the price is about the same as conventional cheese. Also look at Costco's cheese section, I've bought Kerry gold cheddar and other cheese that are grass fed.
Yes meat is expensive especially red meat. Is there a meat co-op in your area? I've heard from other people that apparently if you buy half a cow the cost per pound can sometimes be the same or a little more than grocery stores' prices. But half a cow is HUGE!! Most people split it up with multiple families. I'm not a big red meat person so I never look into it.

Also if you like Salmon, try to find a fishmonger (some asian supermarket might have them) and buy Salmon belly, you know those healthy fish oil? Well its mostly in the belly, but most people only want the fillets so you can buy bags of salmon belly for a fraction of the fillet cost. I like the fattiness but Arturo doesn't like it.
I'm glad you found a book that resonates with you.

I think bi weekly or monthly is good for the google hangout.
