Good morning friends!! How is everyone doing on this Monday morning? Did you do anything fun over the weekend?

Things are good here. Staying on track nicely which is a real new concept for me. I even turned down a cookie at church yesterday. And I even cleaned this apartment. Other than that, didn't do too much. I need to try to get to the Y today. It's terrible when you have a free membership (courtesy of my insurance company) and you don't take advantage of it. There's a chair aerobics class this afternoon. Should be able to make it. Hopefully it doesn't rain cause that always makes it harder to get there.

Conversation starter for the day......I can't speak for everyone else but I have a horrible tendency to forget "me". I'm so busy taking care of everyone else and doing for everyone else, that I forget I'm important too. So every day I try to find "me" time to do something just for me. Today I'm going to do two things since I forgot yesterday. First, I AM going to the Y and exercising. Second, I'm locking myself in my room for an hour and preparing for tomorrow night's ladies' bible study. What have you done for "you" lately? Don't forget, your needs are just as important, if not more important, than everyone else's. You can't help others if you don't take care of yourself.

    Hi Dee,

    My name is Lawana and I feel you when you say that you have a free membership and don't use it. We have a gym at my job with every work out machine known to man all free we can go anytime with showers and everything. No excuse to not work out. My weekend was pretty uneventful, I am still on liquids as I just had my surgery on the 8th of Sept. The surgery to me was not as bad as the pills you have to take after. The whole opening of capsuls and chewing of pills is so nasty to me. I am feeling great after my surgery I actually came back to work yesterday. I sit down all day and don't do any strenous activities so I am fine. I go back to see my surgeon on the 24 of Sept so I am hoping to be able to eat more of a variety of food then. I also will be glad to get back to my water zumba and regular zumba. I too try to make time for myself I keep saying that I need to have an hour each day to just read. I have several books on my kindle that I start reading but have not finished. Have a great week!!
