Hello =D

Hi Ladies!

I just happened along a post which had a link that directed me to this group….which I joined today  I have read through a few posts chuckled and said “yep, that’s me for sure!” Thank goodness I found this group! Finally, I have those that can relate to the yo-yo ~ rollercoaster I have found myself on.

My name is Shelly.....
I am 46 and have been peri-menopausal for past couple years. I feel I am still just in the beginning stage (not certain where haha) this past year has been very challenging for me! I have been struggling. I am unable to ask my mom for advice (she passed on back in 1994) and my sister had a surgery when she was teenager so she doesn’t experience the change like most do. So I am figuring all this out on my own…..

I know I need to go head to head with this….not let it get the best of me.
I know I have an addiction to carbs & wine! Just need to have in moderation…right?!?
My weight is mostly all in my belly.......

My plan is to clean up my diet ….not necessarily limit any food just be smart about what I put in my mouth; listen to my body (Some treats but not all the time!) and exercise (combo ~ cardio/ST). One day at a time….

Looking forward to making new friends :)
Have a good day!

    Welcome!

I just started seeing a Naturopath Dr. to help with my peri-m symptoms.

It's only been 3 weeks but the few changes that I have made seem to be making a difference.

I am a wine lover as well. Dinner without wine is like a day without sunshine!

I am trying to limit my wine to 3 nights a week.

    Feel free to add me.

    All the best.

This is me. Wine lover. I try to limit to most nights. :-)
And I'm also working with a naturopath.
  • Fellow wino here! I have been menopausal for about 2 years now. I do love my wine! So I am giving it up during the week and rewarding myself on the weekend only. I hope this helps because I cant stand my flabby belly and thighs!

I just make sure I have enough calories left to fit the wine in on whatever day I choose to have wine!

Yes...I know I will not be able to give up the wine but thinking just need to try cut back
I do try to "save" some for when I know will be drinking but sometimes I do get carried away haha :)
