Knee Pain at the start of the run

Hi I started C25K a month or so ago and I have just completed week 4. I have not run before this program. I wear Asics Gel Kayano 20. I run very slow and as per Runtastic; my average speed for week 4 has been 5.5 km per hour and an average pace of 10:54 min/km
I have for the past week started facing a bit unusual problem. When I move from the warm up session to the first run; my left knee has a sharp twinge/pain in it which goes away slowly; and does not come back in the second round of run.
I do a proper warm up & cool down pre & post the workout.
what could cause such pain? and how can i address it?

It has many tips on how you can address this problem. Also, if you have not gone out and bought runner shoes, now is probably the time to do so.0
