Sept. 19 and the challenge begins!!

Good morning to all of you ! So our challenge begins!! I did get 30 minutes of walking in today...did not get the 10,000 steps I wanted to, but I walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes. Now to log my food in.

I hope everyone continues to check in every now and then when they get a chance. I am usually on here every day just to say hi....and seems like I give a dailly weather update too! lol Sorry to be so boring!! I am not sure we need a topic everyday...but just having you guys stop by and say 'hey' is nice to know the great group is out there in cyberspace!!

    Pat, I have added my two points I earned today...so how are we going to add the additional points ...like say I add 30 minutes to my exercise routine 4 times a week...so I guess that means I get one more point...so do I just put it in the weekly challenge column? Are we unlimited to the weekly challenges...like post a recipe = 1 pt, extra exercise 30 min x 4 times/week = 1 point, etc...or are we just doing ONE extra challenge per week?? I am getting a bit confobulated! LOL...is that a word???

    Hi Nancy,

    I updated the rule thread so it just goes over the points of the challenge and not everything else we discussed. I think the idea was one point each week for completing the challenge and you put that point int he challenge column whenever you complete it that week. We could do it so people can earn more challenge points then one each week would probably have to adjust whats required for each challenge to earn more points. But since it's such a long challenge I thought the one point peer week would help make it seem realistic for others.

    What are your thoughts?

    Nancy, I hadn't even thought about that question so thank you for asking, and thank you Pat for the quick response. For now I think the one point a week is great. If we get to the point where we want to change that we can tackle the issue at that point.

    Like Nancy I will be on here pretty much every weekday. I have extra time at work and I like to see what is happening with you all.

    I am fine with the extra one point per week if we meet a separate or 'extra' challenge for the week.

    It was fun to challenge ourselves to eating something 'new' during the week too. Like having us select 2 new healthy items to eat....(is ice cream healthy?? lol). I bombed out of the 3 I tried last time....I think I liked 1 out of 3 items. But was fun trying!

    The hardest one for me on this challenge will be the one that we have to give up something we love for a week!

    Hi guys. Checking in late but wanted to say hi before I hit the bed. I put my info on the chart. I only have one question....are we all going to do the same challenge every week or can we just pick the challenge we want to do for the week? I got my exercise in even though my Fitbit doesn't show it cause it spent several hours on the charger. Well, talk to you all tomorrow.

    Hi Dee,

    Updated the challenge thread with a list of challenges and the dates. We have about five challenges and are rotating through them, but your idea is a good one. I say maybe we try going through all the challenges and then see if people want to do it the way you suggested.
