Paleo in a nutshell

Stricked paleo would be anything that you could find camping in the woods would be genetially acceptable for us to eat. Ive always said it it had a face on it at one time it is good (aside from processed meats). I add the greens and and fruit about 3 times a week. If I don't eat greens I drink "Green Vibrence . You can look it up, pure organic and vegan safe. 25 billion probiotics and endless nutrients/ macro nutrients. Now there is a version which can be used as a meal replacement.

As far as workouts I used to do crossif (hi intensity) 4 times a week. I found out that I improved more doing it twice a week and the remainder of the time walking briskly or backpacking. The Crossfit workouts are 1 hr but the hi intensity parts are anywere from 7 to 30 minutes. After reading one book the more ideal workouts would be like this and not everyday. The short/ intence workouts would simulate a hunt or life saving run and the remainder of the week would simulate the natual activity of caveman ( wandering, foreging walking) According the "the primal blueprint" and some other books on the subject even our activity (type, amount and intencity) can effect the release of weighloss hormones. These hormones are released through intense activity.

We need a certain amount of HI INTENSITY exersize to greate the weightloss hormones. Also the book "The warrior diet" (Based on eating paleo but limmiting the cooking of food ) states that the three meals a day is a modern eating regiment. Ancient man or even newer did not stop to eat breakfast lunch and dinner. They would snack in the day march to war or gather food and at night the large meal was eaten. Eating little in the day allowers your body to use needed energy and hormones to repair and perform vital functions instead of using all that energy to digest large meals. I myself have done this and I could eat 500-600 through the day and feel fine and eat 2000+ calories at night and degest it well. This is because the body was not busy working on previouse meals.

Anyhow just some info Ive picked up.

Excellent post Steve. I doubt many of us are going to take it that far, but I would actually like to try if I could organize my life around it. I have always said that (aside from food) exercise is a necessity for humans. To be stuck in front of a computer screen and then to come home and sit in front of the TV is not what our bodies were designed for. I believe that, along with diet, living a sedentary lifestyle is a big cause for depression as well as many other 1st world health issues that we are currently experiencing in our society. I hope that that Oregon can pass their labeling laws to inform the masses about the GMO produced frankenfoods that they have been eating.

PS. Sorry for the lapse in posts. My allergies have gotten the better of me the last few days. I am really trying to avoid any pharmaceuticals, so I have been drinking homemade chicken stock as mentioned by a natural cures website. So far I am starting to feel a bit better.

Allergies ( i use the " air born" stuff. it work well and "zycam" spelling?

Good add on, My brother is a Firefighter medic and when he first started he did his own study of older people . He would transport 70yr old men who were very alert, sharp mentally and ALIVE. Then there were the others (45 + who lived sedentary lives in front of the TV. They as he described were the drulling blubbering sloths who never exersized at all while the 70 year old walked three times a week. This fact was very consistant. The mind follows the body.
