After school pickup/tutor dropoff, jogged slowly to gym and did 1 and 1/2 workout. Will do the same tomorrow, in order to cram 3 workouts into 2 days and get a spare day to play with my lil girl this week (last week she was crying when I left her with her brother everyday). Afterwards, I jogged slowly back. It was hot and absurdly humid today. I was drenching sweat.
Have a good one!
eta: welcome back Val! Sorry about all that hormonal stuff. Hope the docs get it sorted for you. Just hang in there til your weekend in S.D.--sounds awesome!0 -
Sounds like a vacation to look forward to Val, and that you need it. Have fun!
It looks like you're getting back to routine, Sherry. Glad that things are working out for the most part. Hope that you and the lil girl's play day will be nice. Do you think that you've got the evening eating under control now, too? Last time you posted about it, it sounded like you worked out a successful strategy. It's got to be hard to eat both with and then without the kids.
You are definitely on a triathlon path now, Laura! A friend of mine had an Olympic Tri go on in her small town this past weekend and she was posting pictures of the runners passing her house on Facebook.
Hope the whole move goes well, Marla. It think that buying a new home, selling the old, and the move itself will be hard, but, hopefully, ultimately worth it. Maybe when you get sad about leaving, you can think about smoke and maybe not be quite as sad.
I went to the Eastern Shore of Maryland this past weekend. Both of my dogs did well at the Barn Hunt trials there. It was a pair of beautiful days as far as weather and atmosphere. No exercise as such though, but a lot of time on my feet. I did do a bit more than 4 mile run with Fells on Sunday morning. The squirrels were everywhere and very active, so Fells wasn't quite as good on the leash as he normally is. We both enjoyed the run, however.
I've got yoga class tonight.0 -
Raining out so exercise is cleaning house for realtor coming at noon today.
Glad you found something that works Sherry.
I have to get back to it...just checking in... :ohwell:0 -
This weekend’s eating wasn’t as good as it could have been. A friend brought over ¾ of a cake from Trader Joe’s because she didn’t want it in her house. I don’t blame her, it was delicious. I really didn’t appreciate having it in mine as I ate too much of it and didn’t feel good . Next time I’ll take it right outside to the trash.
Last night I prepped morning snacks for M, T, W, yogurt + Fage and overnight oats. Trying to make healthy habits and planning my default. Busy week ahead so made M, T, W lunches for my little guy.
Also made chicken tortilla soup last night and it hit the spot. Used the crockpot to make a big batch and I’m having it for dinner tonight too.
Did Pilates Saturday morning and swam laps yesterday—the waterfi is my new favorite. At lunchtime today I went for a 1m walk at work and the weather was glorious!0 -
Hi everybody! Happy Monday.
I didn't have very long to run so I ran from the gym to a track a few blocks away, circled the track until I had run a mile total, finished walking that lap then walked back to the gym. When I got to the track I decided to try to run fast - next time I'm short on time I'm going to walk there to warm up, then just run a mile fast, then walk back, since my warm-up was part of the mile. I'm curious to see how fast I can run a mile when I'm trying the entire mile. Did arms & core with my trainer, then I went swimming. I've been going Tuesday mornings and it's been super busy the past couple weeks so I decided to try tonight instead of morning. It was still really busy but I was able to get an outside lane which makes me happier anyway.0
