Papillion Half Marathon. 2:01:52. My worst half to date. I thought I was trained-up enough, but I lost my mojo after 7.5 miles. Still not sure what went wrong. I hit all my tempo and speed work run paces.

Harewood Forest trail 10K a couple of weeks ago - 55:43, which knocks 3 minutes off my time from last year
Ox Half this morning, hilly trail race - 2:27, including a few minutes at the final aid station for a cider. A bit higher than my target time, but I hadn't accounted for the effect of wading through knee high grass for half the race. My quads dissolved towards the end.

Bolder Boulder 10k on Memorial Day. 57:17, which was a large improvement from my last 10k.

I was targeting a sub 58, so I'm pretty happy with the results. Little hillier than I expected, but was a ton of fun.

Ran the Minneapolis marathon today. I was aiming for 4:10-4:20, because I wanted to take 26-30 minutes off my first marathon time which was 4:43:42, but with a good taper and excellent race day weather I crushed my goal with a 4:04:39! I didn't even crash or hit a wall. It was pretty much as good a race as one could hope for. :)

Bettered my time at the D-Day Memorial Run at Camp Toccoa 10k this morning. If you watched Band of Brothers, they were training there for WW2. Mile 3 of the race is a 600 foot climb. The only good part of the climb is you get to run back down. Near reckless-abandon style.

Finished 6th overall, but 3rd in my age group :s I ended up improve from about 52 minutes to 48:09. Not my fastest 10k, but, like I said, there's a mountain in the middle of it.

This weekend I ran a nighttime trail race, half marathon through the woods. I'd done its sibling race back in January, and managed to chop seven minutes off my time! Of course, the lack of a blizzard this go-round probably helped. :) I'm proudest of my splits for the two-loop course: 58:29 and 58:33.

I placed better, too, which is fun. Although it's sort of cheating when your race is less than two weeks after one of the state's biggest all-women's running events. >:)

1st female at the Reykjavik midnight sun run half marathon. :) It wasn't especially fast because it was a hilly course, but they held up a tape for me to run through at the end (a secret ambition of mine!), so that was exciting. Also a new female course record.

I completed my first half marathon last week with a time of 2 hours, 11 mins. Happy with that result considering it was my first ever race and I only had 8 weeks to train :) I'm looking forward to improving my running and taking part in more races!
