Walking

I had surgery 9/17, and my follow up appointment is tomorrow. I have a question. How much should I be walking?

They tell us to walk as much as we can at this point. I was doing 20-30 minutes at a slow pace to begin with. You should naturally work up to a faster pace and a longer walk. Unless you are going on a 1/2 day hike, I don't think you need to worry about overdoing it.

    Yup, what they said.
  • I had surgery the same day and I am walking 10-15 min 2-3 times per day. My doctor was happy with that. when I walk longer I have more pain.
