Weigth loss and weight lifting.

I am about two month into keto and so far have lost 20 lbs. I am still about 40 lbs from my goal (CW: 229, GW: 190). I have been contemplating starting a weight lifting routine, but am worried it will stall my weight loss. I wonder whether I should get closer to my goal and then start weight lifting.

Do something like P90X3 or free hand exercises. It will make your tendons, muscles and other joints stronger. If you start lifting heavy, your body might retain lot of water till your body gets used to the routine. Unless you can get a body fat test done, the scale might not show much loss. May be lose another 20 lbs with some thing like p90x3 and start lifting later.0

Thanks for the advice. I have been doing some crossfit workouts and tabata workouts, 2-3 times per week. My initial thought was to get closer to my goal then start hitting the gym hard.0 -
