Hill Workouts

I have always preferred running hills to running flats, I know that most of you will disagree, but for me it is less stress on my knees. Hill workouts are great exercises that can be done a variety of ways. These workouts are challenging, but also let you workout at your own pace. I happen to live in a mountainous area with verticals galore, but I bet that most of you have a nearby hill where these workouts can be applied. This is a nice little collection of hill workouts that can be done at just about any level. Always remember to listen to your body, be well hydrated, and go at your own pace.     I do weighted walking lunges up hill and or weighted hill climbs. all are great for maxing out heartrate.

    I have had a bit of an issue finding the right hill lately. We lived down by Denver and I had my favorite hills, but now we live up in the Rocky Mountains and the hills are massive. It's a good challenge, but it requires so much more motivation on my part.
