Wednesday (10.22) 100 minutes outside on fitness trail: walk, jog and strength.
Thursday (10.23) 3 Mega Miles. (repeated 3rd mile 2x & did 1st mile once)
Friday: (10.24) Free from planned exercise day
0 DVD miles.
0 outdoor minutes.
0 mini walks from Walk Blaster DVD.
My goal for October: I will walk a minimum of 2 DVD 'miles' or 30+ outside minutes at least 5 days a week.
So far: 20 Leslie/ or other walking DVD miles
so far: 760 outdoor minutes (taking advantage of the cooler mornings )
So far: 13 mini walks from Walk Blasters DVD
I also love Mary Kay's middle mile. It is fast and focused. That DVD is one of my fav DVDs b/c of the middle mile

I'm new to the group, so I'm late to the party. I plan on walking 20 miles by the end of October
I'm looking forward to the November challenge. 2 down so far.

I haven't given up or forgotten about this--I've been having a knee problem. Some days I've had trouble bending and lifting my leg enough to go up steps, get in and out of the bathtub, or pull my left leg into the car. Marching in place and doing kickbacks have been out of the question. Mostly, I've been stretching. (I can highly recommend Angela Lansbury's Positive Moves tape, and the Yoga for Seniors with Jane Adams DVD, if you want to do something, but can't do much!) .....
ECfromSJ, I'm so sorry to read about your knees and the challenges that you are facing because of them. I'm glad that you have found some stretching DVDs that are helping you. Keep coming back and posting your yoga and stretches until you are able to walk.

Congratulations LouAnn! Wonderful, wonderful work! As Brenda (zichab) said, it won't be harder, just slower. But you WILL get there. So glad for you!

Sorry to hear about your Dad. Don't worry, the world has a way of butting in on our lives, doesn't it? Just carve out some time however small, say 10 minutes at a time. Remember to take care of you too, when you are busy caring for others!

Spent the last 3 days with my DH painting our deck. Sigh. Still not done. But tomorrow we will be released from this private h@ll we put ourselves through, lol. We both hate to paint. Deck looked pretty bad though. I can't wait to get back to my Leslie workouts.

Wow its been a while since I posted a mile on here. You are all doing wonderful...such inspirations. I was asked yesterday to join a couple of local ladies to do the Walk it of in 30 Days. Anyone have any idea how many miles that is? Because of our work schedules we are doing it solo in our own homes but we will call each other every evening to report our work out. Yesterday was day one and I really enjoyed it. I'm wondering if I should be recording this workout in minutes rather than miles?0
