I don't count laps conventionally - I do pneumonics (eg FITATFIFTY means first lap Front, then Intermediate Medley for the next 4 laps, then ITop and Tail some laps with sprints, A is Arm drills etc).
I have a couple of 1k patterns sorted and a great one for a mile - fittingly worked out around SWIMMINGCHALLENGE .(!)
Well it amuses me, and keeps me changing strokes and doing lots of drills too...
So today I decided I needed a 1300m one. I am trying to up my usual distance.
I got so far with one based on THIRTEEN. You will get the drift - T for top and tail, then Hand based drills. But I got stuck for ideas for R.
I have realised I can simply do each lap as front crawl recalling names in order of the alphabet. First lap Anna, andrew, Andreas, Amir , second lap Boris, Beth etc etc. By z I will be on the 26 th lap, making my 1300m.....
But I'd still like an idea for R and a routine that involves lots of variation. Any suggestions?
Thanks and happy swimming, however you keep track of it.
