Hello everyone and congrats. I am also a 2016 bride, Sept 4th. I am trying to lose 40lbs before then. Haven t started looming at dresses or anything like that only at venues. Hoping for some accountability and support.0

Hey ladies - doing a 2016 bride check-in. How's everyone doing on their goals?
My Kleinfeld appointment is December 5th now (schedule issues), and I'm still 11lbs away from my goal weight (169.8) for the appointment. So close but so far!0 -
My MOH and I have set a "buy the dress" date for the Satuday of Labor Day weekend. That's only a little over a month away! Mind you, the wedding will still be a year off, but with grad school wrapping up and (hopefully) a job change in the next six months (plus being in a friend's wedding!) I don't want to wait and have it all crash down on me at once.
I've lost enough weight that I'm cool to buy and not risk a massive size issue. I'm also 95% sure I'm going empire waist, so that's totally forgiving! I'm 10lbs from a normal BMI, then the rest is vanity.0 -
ugh, it's going poorly, I'm stuck. I guess it's time to buy that food scale0

I'm in a bit of a plateau as well -- I think my sodium levels were way off, because I'm retaining water like it's my job. But I've been netting only 1000 calories each day for a long time. So hopefully I am in for a big whoosh at some point. I have all my extremities crossed. I will be buying a wedding dress in 17 days0

I'm trying to drink more fluids. but I don't like it. blech drinking stuff. I don't like doing it.
good luck on the dress0 -
I have bought The Dress! (first one I tried on and kept going back to it). It is a little (a lot) snug but the lady said if I bought a size bigger and then had to take it in, it would ruin the shape and the look of the dress. So I bought the dress in the size I tried, and now have to shift a little bit of timber for it to fit comfortably, and a fair amount of poundage for it to fit with spare room and for me to look how I intend to on my wedding day!
Confession: i'm being motivated by the fact a "friend" who is in a fact a bit of a *****lost loads of weight for her wedding recently so I feel like I need to as well and its fuelling my hate fire when I exercise!0 -

This made me laugh. Whatever motivation you can get works!0 -

My engagement photos are next week. We're having them done at a pre-Revolutionary War farmhouse, and I'm both stupidly excited and kind of nervous.0

@CountessKitteh - How many outfits are you going to use?0

We're each only doing one outfit, but they're a little adaptable. I'm wearing an orange dress with a gray shrug-style sweater and a pair of casual gray boots, while he's wearing a gray button-down over an orange shirt with "nice" jeans and nice-but-not-dressy shoes. So, I can lose the sweater, and he could untuck the button down, if the photographer wants to try something more casual as we go along.
(Our wedding colors are orange and gray, if anyone was wondering)
We thought about doing more than one outfit, but I found that I actually prefer the friends pictures where they go on their whole "adventure" in the same clothes, since it makes it feel more like one event, you know? Maybe that's just me. Ha.0 -
My wedding date is October 15, 2016! So so close to being only 1 year away, which is a big deal since we have been engaged for 3 1/2 years now!0

March 17, 2016 bride here! Exactly 6 months to the day!0

So we ended up changing the date so we could have the venue that we wanted. Which means that my wedding date is exactly one year from tomorrow!!0 -
January 16th! can't believe how close it is. I would like to lose 8-10 more pounds before my dress fitting in late Nov.0
-
Nov 5th 2016 here. I have a little over a year and feel like planning way to soon.0
-
So, how's everybody's planning going? Anybody early in 2016 and nearing the end of the road?0
-
Mine is February 2016. I've lost over 40lbs and only 3.5 (stubborn) pounds to go! Best of luck to all of you!0
-
We're only two weeks from some of the ladies on this thread start becoming brides and not brides-to-be! Eep!
I still have 10 months. Ha!0 -
Hi all. Congrats on your weddings/engagements. I'm a bit off beat and like the idea that it's leap year so I'm getting married 2/29/16. Its not gonna be a big ceremony but still... I understand that I won't be able to lose a whole lot of weight but hopefully at least 10 pounds before then.1
