I have recently gotten to the phase of my journey that I am looking to maintain my weight...but man it seems trickier than losing weight. I am up in the scale, and I am not eating bad but just more. So I figure we need support just as much as the losing weight does.

so true, this is a life long struggle first to get the weight off know to maintain it. Thank you again for being such a inspiration.0

I've been fairly close to my goal weight for a while, but injury put a stop to my exercise, so I've had some fun trying to balance things whilst getting back to fitness.
It's a challenge to keep things in balance, so I'm still here logging away !0 -
HI all.
Been in maintenance since June this year. I find it just as challenging as the actual weight loss journey, but its nice to be able to have a few more treats here and there :-)0 -
Hi there, I decided to start my maintenance a few wks ago, and it's going well, so far so good, thanks for creating this group0

I've been working on maintenance since the beginning of August but, since I've shed another 11 pounds since then, I clearly haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet. It is hard to find a balance of staying active and working towards getting more fit without losing more weight.0

I think that it does take finding the right formula...I know we will all find it0

Hello all! I am trying to maintain 119 weight but I want to loss more fat mass with muscle mass. I know my weight will fluctuate meanwhile but basically I'm maintaining the weight. It's not easy but I know that we can do it=)0

I'm maintaining for 3 months now. I find it easy to maintain now that I weight myself daily and exercise 5-6 days a week. I'm in my second round of insanity. I eat 1600 calories daily plus most of my exercise0

I have been on Maintenance for almost a year. I did fine for about 6 months. However, I noticed in photographs taken of me over the summer, my face looked drawn and unattractive. I have been trying to regain about 4 or 5 pounds. It is so difficult! I need to regain the weight without going over on sugars and/or fats/ and/or sodium. Very difficult indeed. I am in an eating rut. I don't really look forward to my food choices. Maintenance has become the least "fun" part of MFP.0

hello i've been in maintainence since april which was 4 months after having my 3rd baby. currently doing p90x to build muscle mass and so far so good0

Reached goal of 130 in June (lost 19.2lbs). Trying to maintain 2lbs either side of that.
Maintaining is harder than losing.............I normally get complacent after reaching goal (yes, I've done it before but on a different site) and put all the weight, and more, back on.
Hopefully, we can all motivate each other :flowerforyou:

I'd just like to say how cool it is to see so many tickers with the pip thingy all the way over to the right.
Well done everyone!0 -
I am new to maintenance having transitioned from about 2 months ago. This week is the first that I have not continued to lose weight, which is good since I went below my goal weight. But it is tricky. I have not yet determined what my ultimate maintenance calories budget will be. I think it will just take time and be a matter of trial and error. One thing is certain though -- I will NOT regain the weight I lost!0

Hi! I've been maintaining since February. After lots of trying to find the right calories I settled on a ceiling of 2450 calories, which works about right.
I'm taking a short break from counting this weekend because some obsessive behaviours are creeping in :huh:0 -
Hi everyone, I recognize a few names from the maintenance thread. I've been maintaining for over a year now and have been slowly but surely changing my body composition. I'm pretty much happy with how I look now as I think it's the right balance for me, so my main focus is improving strength from now on.0

Well I've decided to lower my ticker to 118 only because I want to get the last of the cellulite off the back of my legs and the last of the fat off my back. It should be gone by Friday (Going hard at the gym and eating very clean and lean)0
