Whats on your playlist while you run? I have a playlist of Marine Cadences and I love listening to them while I run. They make me smile, help regulate breathing and give me a consistent beat to run, walk to.

This is the play list I used for all of my C25K runs, copied this from my iTunes, reading through it made me laugh, some of them are a little embarrassing, but my dad told me never to be ashamed of music that I liked....even if it is Flock of Seagulls :P (that being said 'I Ran' is obviously a brilliant song for running)
Dirty Diana - Michael Jackson
Even You, Brutus? - Red Hot Chili Peppers
I Ran - Flock of seagulls
If You Want Me To Stay - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Orange Crush - R.E.M.
We Don't Care - Kanye West
No Children - The Mountain Goats
Jesus Walks - Kanye West
Son of Sam - Elliott Smith
Uncle Johnny - The Killers
Somebody That I Used To Know - Gotye
Vincent - Don McLean
You Probably Couldn't See For the Lights… - Arctic Monkey
Poison - Alice Cooper
Hold the Line - Toto
Mony Mony - Billy Idol
Crazy Little Thing Called Love - Queen
It's Alright - East 17
The Kkk Took My Baby Away - The Ramones
Back in the U.S.S.R. - The Beatles
Rockaway Beach - The Ramones
Gone Away - The Offspring
Johnny Come Lately - Steve Earle
Get Your Hands Off My Woman - The Darkness
The Hollow - A Perfect Circle
Extra-Terrestrial - Pickled ****
Cum On Feel The Noize - Quiet Riot
She's My Man - Scissor Sisters
Help! - The Beatles0 -
I found this idea the other day, so I thought I'd share. One of the fields you can add and modify in iTunes is beats per minute (bpm) for a song. You can find free BPM calculators online and calculate the BPM for your songs. I want to create a playlist with songs that are a bpm-match to my pace. That way I can just run to a consistent beat, kind of the same principle as your marine cadences! Fun stuff!0

Personally, I set a pandora station based off of the white stripes and go from there. Also, an odd addition- Ben Kweller- This is war.0

Since we run together with headphones on, lately my boyfriend and I pick an album or a band and play it at the same time so we're listening to the same thing while we run.
Yesterday was Blood Mountain by Mastodon and last week was Dethklok all week. Dunno what we'll do next.0 -
@ drblythe even the Help song by the Beatles is a good song for the ending because I know that is what I am going to be yelling after this LOL0

I keep telling myself I am going to make a running playlist, but I haven't yet. Some of my ideas are:
Pantera - Walk
TOOL - The Grudge, Forty six and 2, Hooker with a Penis
Cake - Going the Distance
Soul Coughing - Super Bon Bon
Kings of Leon - Sex on Fire
Ministry - Theives
Radiohead - Weird Fishes/Arpeggi
Artic Monkeys- Bet you look good on the dance floor
I am open to more ideas too!0 -
My run playlist is still evolving. Right now it ranges from Prince to Linkin Park/Jay-Z to Alice in Chains to Fiona Apple. But the one song that always seems to pop on when I need a kick in the pants is Chris Brown/Busta Rhymes Look at Me Now. I can not help but sprint!0
