"... the bigger message is that it looks as if how we age can be under our control. Through exercise, you can preserve muscle mass and strength and avoid the decline from vitality to frailty.”

Get workin'!

Very encouraging. I actually believe this. We may never be 25 years old again, but we can be in great shape for our age. :)

Agreed! I feel so much better when I'm exercising regularly and eating well.

I love old women, especially those who take the time to put on a lil make up, they dress nice, and you just know they are hip, and definately active, probably work out, even if its in their cute lil outfits for yoga or dance. I just want to squeeze them. They are my inspiration.

    VERY interesting article!

I have many women friends (my age) who don't exercise, because they "hate" to exercise. I love to exercise! I hope to keep exercising as long as it's physically possible. The idea of being fit and strong in my 70's and 80's is very appealing.

I think our bodies are absolutely amazing. Before I started doing regular exercise just under a year ago, I barely did anything. I was tired from sitting at a desk all day. I'm 47, yet my body has changed radically since exercising/working out. The response my body has made to it makes me think that anyone can change their lifestyle no matter what age and benefit.
