HRT pellet therapy

Hi,
I'm new to groups and just joined this group today.
I'm post menopausal and have been on HRT for a few years.
I have two friends who have told me about a new kind of HRT -- using pellets that are inserted under the skin. I live in AZ and the treatment regimen goes by the name of "SottoPelle". Anyone hear of this or have any experience with it?
One of my friends has been on the pellet therapy and thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread. My other friend in an RN & has done alot of research and is ready to embark on the therapy. I trust her judgment. BUT, I've read some negative articles on the web and so am very conflicted about what to do.
Any advice?
