Looking for gay male MFP weightloss pals

I started this in the LBG group that disappeared... so I'll try again :happy:

I'm Kyle and I'd like to make more gay male MFP-pals to encourage and chat to.

I've met a couple here already which is great and also have a great bunch of weightloss pals, but the more's the merrier

I've been a bit of a bear most of my adult life, but I want to have more of an Otter's build although the pelt's becoming more ermine these days :laugh:

I know a couple of other gay men on MFP ... but in the LGBT stakes we certainly seem to be in the minority :ohwell:

I was just reading your profile and I can identify with what you say. I too was kind of resigned to being the Bear but now I really want to be more of an otter. I'm 215 at the moment and I want to get down to 143lbs, so I've still got a long way to go. But I kow that it's achievable because my attitude has changed so much over the past three months. Sure I'm on a diet, but it doesn't feel like one because I eat what I want to and now make lighter choices which helps keep me under my daily Calorie target.

You've done really well and looking at your profile pics, you look amazing! :blushing:

I'd love one day to be able to wear and open shirt without a T-shirt during the summer or on holiday and not feel self-conscious about my belly or man-boobs :embarassed:

I did not mind, in fact, I liked being a big guy and like bigger guys. I was very comfortable around 240-250 pounds for a long time. I do kind of miss my butt....

But the health issues just really got to me and I topped out about 292 and now last week I was 194 (on my own scale - I use the program/Dr's for tracking here)

My activity level is so much better, and I'm hoping my energy level comes back after I switch to a higher calorie maintenance program.

... yea, not sure where I fit in the zoo anymore...

[was thinking exactly the same thing..... i weigh now about what i weighed in 8th grade. it's a bit strange not to be a bear!]

But apart from the Bears it's almost taboo to be gay, male and overweight!

Bears, otters, cubs...oh the gay mans world.
Sounds so complicated,def glad i play for both teams.
