Woot! Another member! My record is in the WABDL federation for the Bench Press.

    225.7lbs :D

I am very impressed with that bench press! I am barely pushing up the bar these days! It doesn't help that it's my least favorite lift.
  • Impressive stuff :-)

Do you plan on attempting to smash that record?

Silly question, but, in terms of competition; is that 225.7lbs NOT including the bar?

That actually does include the bar, and after taking over a year off, I was super proud when I benched 225lbs yesterday with a two board. (Shorter range, helps to expose body to heavier weights to increase the load I am comfortable holding/lifting). That means within a month I should be past my old record already! I've only been back at the gym for about 6 weeks!

I hold no world records. I was never even close to being competitive at my weight.

years ago I was a beginner and completed for about 2 years.

    Bench 230lbs
    Squat 450lbs
    Dead 450lbs

    At 165lbs.

EEEK! Somebody beat my record! Oh man! Now I can't even get it back because I lost 20lbs and wont ever be in the same weight class again.

    *sad face*
  • Booooooooooo!

Does this mean you could compete and get a shiny new record?

Are you lifting equipped/unequipped. If equipped single ply, closed back or one of the many others?
