Hi! I'm new to the group. My name is Adriana and a secret life long dream is to run in a marathon. I may not make it to something as big a the NewYork, Boston, or Chicago marathon, but none the less would like to experience running in a 5K or 10K. What's held me back is being able to breath properly, since I have asthma, bad knees and no fitness training until now. I've lost 20+ pounds and fell great. I still need to lose a few more pounds, but I feel I'm ready to try running. I'm really scared, as I have never tried anything like this before. Hopefully, C25k can help .

C25K is a great first step!!! Be sure to get fitted for shoes at a running store. They will make sure you are in the best shoes for you which will reduce knee problems, and other injuries. Grats on the 20 lb loss!!! If you stick with the program and put some effort into it, you can easily be good enough to run a marathon this time next year, or sooner!
