Go back to the basics... Body squats, jumping jacks, sit ups, crunches, push-ups, lunges, dips, pull-ups...
However, purchasing some hand weights is not going to be a bad investment... Adding weight doing the basics is only going to help you tone up a little quicker.
Hope this helps!0 -
Check out all the different pushup variations. They'll work your muscles differently.
Pushup with your feet elevated
Wide hand stance
Narrow hand stance
Keeping your elbows to your sides will work your triceps

Also check out some plyometric exercises. This website has lots of examples for lower and upper (though the upper does require a medicine ball)

Look for heavy things around the house to use too. For example, save a gallon jug, fill it with water and do bicep curls or shoulder presses with that. That is only about 8lbs, but better than nothing!
Also, if you were to invest in some dumbbells, I'd suggest some adjustable dumbbells. https://www.google.com/#hl=en&tbm=shop&sa=X&ei=ZETBTsGIIofO2gX3oKyaBQ&ved=0CH4QBSgA&q=adjustable+dumbbell&spell=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&fp=10a705f62bbb4240&biw=1170&bih=758 They might seem a little more expensive than just bying a 5lb pair of dumbbells, but what you would use for, say, a bicep curl, would be a pointless weight to use for a lunge or squat.0 -
These are all great suggestions so I'm not going to repeat it all But I will add that you might want to check out the Bodyrock.tv Her workouts are pretty tough and she doesn't use very much equipment, using mostly her own body weight.0

There are lots of things you can do without equipment - lunges, squats, pushups, different variations of sit-ups.
You can purchase some weights fairly inexpensively to add to your training - simple things like a set of handweights or a medicine ball that are 5-7 lbs...if you are looking to tone I would just stick with these weights for now...I have a set of 2 lb/5lb and 10lb dumbbells (all from Target - maybe $4 each so you are looking at $8-10 for a set) and a 6lb medicine ball (under $15)
If you have an iphone/touch/pad I highly reccomend the Nike Training app - it is free and awesome - tons of great workouts where equipment is optional and it will work you out.....
Likewise if you are exercising at home there are a lot of great DVD's that you can get for cheap - I started with the Biggest Loser ones (you can find those under $10) and most of those are HIIT workouts which tone and really burn calories and they can be done with or without0 -
You could purchase a set of dumbells to get u started or even just use a gallon of milk , cans ,etc at home for simple arm exercises. Lower body lots of squats and lunges, there are a lot of different types-google some. Oh and push ups for arms and chest:-). Good luck!0
