I have lived in Indiana all my life and so had my husband and daughter so this is a BIG move for us! We really just want a change of scenery, the city we live in is depressing. My husband and I are both self employed and my daughter is home schooled so we don't have to worry about schools or jobs so that's a relief.
BUT, I would like advice, comments and anything you know about CO or relocating that far....I'm kind of nervous!!!

I don't really know anything about CO, but I bet you could do research on line. It's definitely a big step to take for sure. I visited Denver twice, a week long each time. I loved it there, especially how diverse the city is. The locals were all so friendly. The only thing I don't like is the snow. Otherwise, that would be on my list of places to retire to. Definitely do your research. Can you visit before you actually make the move?0

I live in Indiana and have all my life. But for a few years I was a technology consultant and I commuted to Denver every other week. So I can really relate to what you are doing!
I found the Denver area to be easy to settle into even though I was only there about 10 days each month. It’s big and beautiful and there is a ton of stuff to do. People there seem a bit more health conscious and outdoorsy than here in Indiana. But I thought it was also pretty expensive compared to here. But overall, I really enjoyed my time there.
I know it will be somewhat stressful in the beginning, but I hope you can try to enjoy it too and maybe look at it as a big, fun adventure!
Best of luck to you!0
