today was my second time jogging four miles. i am going to try and get comfortable with it in the next couple of weeks and then increase it by another half a mile. my time was four miles in 49:21, so my average mile is about 12:15. not too shabby, but i'm hoping my speed will increase in time too! how goes it?

I am getting so close to 5. I ran 7.8km today, which converts to 4.85 miles. Woot! That was in 53.5 mins, with two of those mins walking during intervals.
Are you following any particular training program?0 -

congrats to you - such an accomplishment! i am going to look into the gateway to 10k, but so far i'm just trying to add half a mile every few weeks. that's probably not going to work for long!
what about you?0 -
I am following bridge to 10k, just finished week 3, which was 3 17-min intervals with 1 min walk in between. Next week it goes up to 18 min intervals. Last week's were 15 min, so it doesn't seem bad moving up.0

still at 4 miles - i'm averaging 12:00 per mile on the nose, so i shaved off about 15 seconds per mile from last go. maybe i can keep that trend up. i guess i'll try adding another half mile on the week of december 7 - i'm going to train with a lady from my gym, so that will be a good time to try and kick it up another notch!0

Great job improving your time. I run around a 12 min mile as well.
I am up to 18m run, 1m walk x3. Don't know if I'll be able to get today's run in though now, home with a sick kiddo.0 -
still at 4 miles, but getting faster. 9.45 to 9.58 min/miles so I'm fairly pleased. Want to add distance, however, going to wait until I do 9.30 min/mi two or three times in a single week. I'm still a little unpredictable time-wise.0
