And Wednesday isn't going too badly either.
Now that we have so many different threads going, I find it a bit hard to keep up with everyone. Maybe it was better before when we were all on the same thread no matter what our topic of concern????
Anyway, I hope we can keep encouraging one another to make consistant effort and not become overwhelmed by this phase we are going through. This too shall pass. What is on the other side? We'll have to check the Golden Girls group to find out!0 -
There is one upside to the hot flashes for those of us in the northern climates......with winter coming we won't have to bundle up... we'll just look soooo cool! lol0

Ahh, Good one, Lauren!! There is a silver lining if we just look for it!0

Don't get too excited ladies- I found winter one of the hardest with regards to sleeping. I would snuggle up in all my bedclothes and wake up feeling like I was in the tropics and have no choice but the throw off all the bed clothes and sometimes discard nightwear. As the fire within me subsided I would fall back to sleep .....only to wake up 15 minutes later frozen . I would collect all my bed clothes together fall back to sleep .......and the cycle would continue all night. With up to two or three hot flushes per hour - this lead to very very disrupted sleep ......not to mention a cranky cranky husband who would spend the whole night fearlessly clutching to his bedclothes as I would do this semi conscious throw then a kick to push the bedclothes down even further .
For me summer was better!!!!!!

I couldn't agree more Debbie.... I definitely prefer summer..... in the winter I was constantly getting hot, throw off the covers, just doze off, wake up again freezing.... start all over again .... at least in summer I can put the overhead fan on all night and just have a sheet with that barely over me and I don't notice the hot flushes so much.... so bring on the warm weather for me! ....although I do find it harder during the day when I am just a greasespot!
Actually I seem to have been sleeping a bit better the last week since the runs I am doing in the C25K running program have got a bit longer..... I am sleeping far more soundly and have even gone a few nights without waking up at all!
annarouni - I agree with you about the group thing making it harder to keep track of all the different threads here now.... thought perhaps it was just my ageing menopausal brain!
Hope everyone is having a good week, lisa0 -
For me I actually like the new format as it is easier to track queries etc. I would notice in the old thread that people would ask questions and sometimes never get answers as they would be lost in the system once they moved off the page that was actually being displayed. I find that once people start a new thread and the responses are within that thread that it is a bit easier to follow.
Considering I tend to come on here about twice I day - I check out the first few pages only as I know that all all the recent posts are automatically brought to the front page or top of the list. So I normally check down the list that displays how recently a topic was posted and when it gets to over 12 hours ago - I know that I will have already read that one. Some systems have an unread posts since previous visit- but other than the recent posts facility on here there doesn't appear to be an easy option.
I have found from another forum that I am involved with - that sometimes topics don't interest me - and after reading that post initially - I can choose to not check that one out. Works 98% of the time - but not in instances where we branch off on a tangent like we have in this thread:) I suppose nothing is perfect.

Those tangents will get you won't they? ahhhahaha :laugh:0
