I'm trying to stay under 160g of carbs per day (40% based on my 1600 calorie/day intake), but today is tough. A power outage at the house had me grabbing a bagel at the coffee shop and not my usual oatmeal and p.butter.

Tonight is taco night and i'm trying to think of an alternative for me for taco shells... has anyone used lettuce leaves? I'm thinking I would still get the crunch but not the carbs??

    Hi there

yes- i've used lettuce leaves as a substitute for tortillas/wraps. Use the largest outer leaves to make your shells, or romaine lettuce to use as your taco 'boats'. FF sour cream, cheese & jalapenos are all good low carb toppings too.

    Enjoy!

This is a very common item to use in many asian cuisines... lettuce wraps... I make them all of the time!
