I was planning on running my first 5K on Thanksgiving morning... until i read that the brochure said NO STROLLERS :( I have walked many 5Ks and aI have never done one without my son! Since beginning to run, he has been with me every time, he is 9 months old! So i got a random email the other day from the man in charge of the 5k, saying hope to see you there blah, blah, blah, so i wrote back that i had planned on attending but was deterred by the NO STROLLERS (as only one 5k i have ever done had no strollers because it was along a main highway) He messaged me back and said i could do the run with my son, i guess they changed the course. So, looks like no excuses not to run my first 5K in a week!! Thanks for listening!

Good luck! Glad you have the stroller situation covered. the 5k I'm in on Thanksgiving doesn't allow strollers because we are running on a brick paved road. Too many chances for injury for the little ones in the strollers I would think!

    Good luck! You'll do great!

I can understand the "no strollers" rule (just like a "no pets" rule) even if it's not on a road, because it takes up so much extra space, both for you if you're trying to pass someone, and for someone to pass you.

I've never been in a race with strollers, but I know it was demoralizing for my brother and niece the time they got creamed by someone pushing twins in a stroller.
