Suppliments and side effects

I've taken a few pre workout suppliments; C4 Extreme, Jack3d, SuperPump Max and N.O Xplode.

I typically workout in the evenings, but today worked out in the AM. I am currently taking N.O Xplode (i've taken it around 10-15 times thus far and no issue) and within 5 minutes of taking the drink this morning, i got a fairly aggressive nosebleed (I have only had maybe 1 or 2 nosebleeds in my life...a loong time ago).

Some thoughts were maybe I did not have enough water in my system when I took the suppliment this morning, as compared to the days I take it in the evening (after a full day of eating and drinking water). I did eat breakfast about an hour before taking the suppliment.

After the bleeding stopped, I was able to get my workout in, with no other issues.

Should I be overly concerned about this or should just attribute to cold, dry Winter's air and possibly not having enough water in my system?

Anyone else experience an occasional nosebleed from taking any pre workout sups?

Thank you in advance for your .02.

...and what did you learn from this experience?

I highly doubt this supplement is what caused the nose bleed. Most nose bleeds are from dry noses or getting smacked in the nose. I've never heard of a supplement causing nose bleeds.

However, one huge indicator that it wasn't the supplement is that it happened that soon after you took it. It's nearly impossible for something to absorb and take effect that quickly. This is why most supplements used as intra-workout purposes will suggest taking it 30 minutes or so before.

No way the NO xplode gave you the nosebleed.

The fastest I've ever really felt caffeine in a preworkout hit me was about 15-20 minutes.
And supps shouldn't make your nose bleed, it's either a dry nose issue, or a high blood pressure issue.

    My theory?

Because the supplements in question all contain caffeine, which is a stimulant, you might see an increase in blood pressure. Which in some regards is the whole point. Increase blood flow to the working muscles, increase concentration, improve pump, etc… I might think that the effects of this are because of the caffeine. Therefore I would not think increasing water would have that great of an effect on it. If you can find one without caffeine, try that, and see if the effect is the same. A good option, and the one I use on a caffeine detox is Animal Pump, I remove the red pill (which is the stimulants).
