Can you make links clickable in posts?

I occasionally post links in my forum posts. The only links that are clickable are links to other MFP pages.

I tried <a href="link">NAME</a> and [a href="link]NAME[/a] and neither worked. Any idea if we can make them clickable?

I believe MFP has disabled that ability for security reasons. There may be another reason, but that's the only one I can think of.
