Temptation

I am involved in a tight knit community where we have pot lucks and some kind of event at least every other day or so. I find it very difficult to pass on the sweets, breads, etc. Do you have any suggestions on how to knock down the temptation? Is there something you eat before these events that send signals to your brain that you are already full? I really have to take part in the events and it just kills me. Sometimes I have the discipline to pass on them and sometimes I turn a 600 calorie dinner into a 2600 calorie dinner because I give in.

    I hear ya on that. I often will try and go for a quick walk or drink a really tall glass of water. Then I wait about 2 hours. If I still really really want something then I'll allow myself just a bit kinda thing. It's hard at first but after awhile you'll be able to walk right pass it most of the time :)
