My Plan

It is my plan to quit on 1-1-12. Why don't I quit now? One word - STRESS!! Financially strapped, so I can't afford the patches, a head injury patient, so I can't take any stop smoking meds & the holidays are upon us so there is NO WAY I could do it now.
Yes, I don't like the way they make my chest feel, the cough I am getting, the scratchy throat I also get sometimes, the need to pop a breath mint & spray myself with perfume after having one if my family is around. But I am NOT ready to quit yet.
From the date posted above, I will have 156 days until we leave for Hawaii to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. By then I want to be a non-smoker, in better shape & healthier by the time I step on the plane.

Set your quit date and go for it. start making changes now though. Like if you smoke with your morning coffee, try and not do that.
If you smoke after meals as most of us did. Wait for 30 minutes then smoke. Don't smoke in your car. All those things will help when the big day comes.Try smoking out side confuse your body and it is so much easier to quit! drink lots of water! wait longer to smoke. all of this helps.
I am 7 months smoke free you can do this! I am cheering for you0
