Morning everyone! Anyone planning to stay on-program with their Thanksgiving meal like I am?
Im excited about the menu Im creating as it will definitely keep me focused without feeling like Im missing anything. Ive got to work today (Monday) and then I dont go back to work for a week so any leftovers after the meal definitely need to be 'friendly'...
I would love to see photos of everyone's Thanksgiving meals here if people have the time...

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK but I'm going to stay on plan for Christmas next month. My partner's parents are making dinner so I'm gonna bring some low carb dishes to supplement the turkey and veg, including a low carb cheesecake for dessert. Yum!0

Haha I'm actually American but no one else celebrates it here. It's so hard to find the ingredients for all the lovely food too, it took me years to find a tin of pumpkin!0

I'm staying on plan also.... theres really only one thing I want on my plate anyway...Stuffing. I can definately fit the Turkey ,stuffing , carrots and pumpkin pie into my day without a problem.0

I'm planning on going OFF my regular low carb menu for Turkey day. I'm treating it like one of my regular weekly "cheat" days where I allow myself to eat "white" carbs so bread, stuffing, rice, etc are fair game. Looking forward to a great holiday, for sure!0

You can have my share of mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn and all that is high carb - Ill gladly give it! LOL!!!!!

How do you manage to do that every week? I've tried in the past but I never seem to shake my cravings and 'one day' becomes a whole week haha. Maybe I'm just not as strong willed.0 -
I'm with starfires there. I'm a bit "all or nothing" with things anyway, but if I cheat I find it really hard to get back on track. So I'm best staying off bad carbs as much as possible. I will probably allow myself some roast potatoes on Christmas Day though. Luckily I never liked Christmas pud or Christmas cake anyway, so that's no great loss to me. I'm doing Christmas at home just with my husband and daughter this year so I can plan for yummy treats like smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast, probably a light lunch then a full roast dinner but without too many high carb additions, lots of healthy veg though I think. Dessert's always a problem, my other half is very allergic to eggs and you'd be surprised how many puds contain egg, I need to give that part of the day a bit more thought, but to be honest I think some really nice cheeses would round off the meal nicely and feel really indulgent but without the carb overload. Hmm! you've got me thinking about Christmas and it's only November!0
