Okay so I know everyone says that you shouldn't expect to lose weight during the Push phase...and of course that will vary by individual. I find it helpful to see people's stats when they finish programs so I'm going to share mine (for anyone considering this program or just starting - so you don't get down on yourself if your results are slow-going, like I did at first!!). Now, I imagine my results would have been better if my diet was more in check (the last six to eight weeks have been fairly sugar laden as we celebrate many birthdays/anniversaries, and of course Halloween during this time of year).

When looking at these, keep in mind that my muscle % may not be totally accurate as I just record the numbers on my scale first thing in the morning. I guess the best time to check the % for muscle is later in the day...and when I do that my numbers are considerably higher (though I never record them). I'm not as concerned with the numbers as this is just a scale and prone to inaccuracies...but I follow it for the general trend. As such, when I input my numbers using the navy's calculations for percentage body fat using body measurements - it tells me that I'm currently 29.6% bodyfat, whereas my scale is saying 30.5%. Whatever.

**CLX start weight was 175.4 lbs. 33% fat, 43% water, 36.5% muscle (I had just finished 30 Day Shred when I started CLX)
(Also, to mention - I used a different measuring tape at the end of the Burn phase versus when I started so that is why I show "gains" in some areas - I began using the Myotape measure and I insert the pin into the hole so I'm not pulling the tape as snugly as I may have been pulling using my old tape measure.)

**My Burn phase results:
Weight after: 170.4 -- 32.0% fat, 44.7% water, 36.0% muscle (5 pounds lost)
Neck: 13.5" (gain of .25")
Arm-L: 11.5" (loss of .5")
Arm-R: 11.25" (loss of 1")
Underarms (armpit): 35.5" (loss of .5")
Chest: 37" (loss of 1.5")
Abdomen/Middrift: 31.5" (loss of 1")
Waist: 31.25" (loss of .25-.5")
Belly button: 34.5" (no loss)
Hips: 39.5" (no loss)
Thigh-L: 24.75" (gain of .75")
Thigh-R: 25" (gain of 1")
Calf-L: 15" (no loss)
Calf-R: 15"(smidge over, smidge loss)

My Push phase results:
Weight: 166.4, 30.5% fat, 46.5% water, 35.9% muscle as of 8 am (4 pounds lost)
Neck: 13" (loss of .5")
Arm-L: 11" (loss of .5")
Arm-R: 11.25" (or a bit less, minimal loss)
Underarms (armpit): 35" (loss of .5")
Chest: 36" (loss of 1")
Abdomen/Middrift: 31" (loss of .5")
Waist: 30.5" (loss of .75")
Belly button: 34.5" (no loss)
Hips: 38" (loss of 1.5")
Thigh-L: 24" (loss of .75")
Thigh-R: 24" (loss of 1")
Calf-L: 15" (no loss)
Calf-R: 15"(minimal loss not enough to record)

So, before beginning the Lean phase, I have lost 9 lbs and about 12 inches. (To be fair, I lost 7.2 lbs and over 12 inches when I did the 30 Day Shred just before...so the inches had already started falling off prior to the program and thus my numbers may not be as impressive or indicative of someone just starting CLX with no prior strength/resistance training).

Looking at these numbers...this is two months and it might feel unmotivating to someone to work so hard and only lose 9 lbs in two months...or even just 12 inches in two months (especially given my results in just 30 days with Jillian!). And to be honest, I'm a little surprised...I guess I expected better results overall at this point. However, I've read time and time again that the big changes really become apparent during the Lean phase so I'm holding onto hope! (And I stalled during October and barely lost any weight at all...probably because I wasn't eating enough since when I started increasing my calories - after getting a BodyMedia Fit and learning how much I was burning - I started losing again.

I am satisfied with how my body is changing and I can fit into sz 10 Gap curvy jeans now and look good, so despite all the numbers, I feel great!! I actually uploaded some before/progress pics to my profile because I could really see the changes even though the numbers seemed so small to me. And Chalene is just so much fun to "workout with" that I really look forward to following her programs. I'm not down with the drill sergeant attitude of JM...so this was a breath of fresh air for me! And this will be a good segue into doing P90X (one of my goals when starting to get fit was to be able to complete that program one day) eventually!
