So I guess I will just continue to update this thread throughout the Thanksgiving holiday with all my delicious dishes.
As all "foodies' probably know one of the places we love to visit is TJ MAXX (or whatever local discounter you have in your area) for some very fantastic finds on things that you do not want to pay full price for.
My finds yesterday were Vanilla Bean Paste...who can do that for holiday baking! I also found black & white sesame seed combo and some lucious fig jam.
I kicked off my prep this morning with my Cranberry Sauce...why buy that stuff in a can when it is so simple to make.
1 bag whole fresh cranberries
1/4 - 1/2 c blue agave
1/2 - 1 tsp vanilla bean paste (or vanilla extract)
1/2 c apple cider or apple juice
1 navel orange (zest and juice)
Put all in a pot and let simmer for about 1/2 hour, smash remaining whole cranberries with a fork.
Put in container, allow to cool and then refrigerate.
Before serving, transfer to serving bowl and serve cold
Also great on left over turkey sandwiches (that is a post holiday suggestion which I will share my favorite with you later)
Enjoy........let the real prep now begin!!

I found mine at TJ Maxx in the bargain section for about $7 but I found a site where you can also get it
