What motivates you? What do you guys think of this new idea?

Just curious what motivates people to lose weight or feel better about themselves. I'm thinking, when we have that urge to continue eating or doing something we shouldn't be, to help our self control we need some way to remember the reasons why we need to curb our self control in the first place. Is it to help you lose weight? Is it to help you feel more in control of yourself?

I was thinking, what if we made a specific thread purposely for motivation? Like post a picture of the thing that motivates us in the thread, or something motivational in general, that we can refer to when were feeling bad urges. For instance, if I want to snack on something and know I shouldn't, I can go to the thread and look at everyone's motivation and remind myself why I shouldn't be snacking. And individually, maybe people could print out a picture of something that can serve as motivation/reminder when people are on the go, or at work, or just don't have access to MPF. I'm wondering how well this would work? What do you guys think?

I think this is a great idea...and I must first figure out what motivates me because that is where I am stuck--WANTING to be processed food free and only desiring clean foods, and I want to be 8-10 lbs. thinner and I've not been that weight in so long I don't know what it looks like. So, having others share their motivation might be the inspiration I need. Your mini-goal challenge is working for me so far. I am doing it WITH someone and that helps!

This is so what i was thinking yesterday! I find though if i really really have the urge to eat something rubbish even if i think of things that usually put me off i just ignore them, its like my cravings a big elephant just running through my brain knocking every good peice of reason out the way!

Love the idea. I try to keep bits of motivation around me and keep temptation out of the way. It is easy to keep the momentum going that way.

Actually my avatar pic and also my name are two pieces of inspiration!
