I'm thankful for...

This Thanksgiving I give thanks for:
* My wife and children who tolerate this crazy triathlon habit. It's not easy for them, and it sure siphons off a good chunk of family time and income...
* My 9yo daughter who raced her first tri this summer. She finished pretty low in the pack and didn't care at all. She was what every triathlete should be - having fun trying hard and doing her best.
* My Kestrel Talon tri bike. I've had it a while, but I'm still always grateful for it.
* The Sock Guy socks my kids give me every Christmas and Father's Day. I have so many pairs I don't wear regular socks anymore. Nothing like the comments I get when I show up to some school function in wacky socks.
* Getting over my runners knees in enough time to salvage this season. For a while it looked like it might be a total loss.
* Savageman. 100 miles of hell, a lifetime to figure out what it all meant.
* My dear friend who turned me on to MFP. Huge thanks for that!!!
* My tri club, which helps me find my way in triathlon, even if it's at the back of the pack.
* All my training buddies, even the ones who have to slow WAAYYYYYYYYY down to workout with me.
Anybody else got any thanks to share?

Glad I am not the only one who loves socks that much. I got a few nice things for my birthday, my favorite, the fancy running socks (best socks ever, I can't think of the brand right now). My fiance kept saying it was supposed to be a little gift, not the best part.
I am Canadian so my Thanksgiving was last month but its always good to be thankful.
I am thankful for -
- my triathlon club, even if they are a bunch of crazy Barbarians (club name). We are really fortunate to have a former pro triathlete and her equally talented husband who got this whole thing started in our little neck of the woods. How much they do for our running/biking and swimming community is amazing. I honestly can say without them I wouldn't be where I am today, and triathlon in this province would be where it is either.
- my fiance, who supports and encourages everything I do, no matter how crazy. From triathlon, to tri training camp (that I thought would be out of my league) now to a fitness competition. I do wish he would come out for another race so we could end the tie breaker (I beat him in one race, he beat me in the other, but in his winning race the men started first, women 1/2 later so I couldn't judge. I would have beat him if I knew how close he was to my time). Right now, he has given up every good food and drink known to man because I am on my competition diet and he is supporting me.
- my super supportive friend/coworker and his wife who is my coach for the fitness competition. Everytime I talk to him he gets me so pumped up. I can't decide if I love or hate her, she is one tough coach (jk, she's tough but I love it).
- my running club. They organize a ton of great/fun races as well as regular runs. I love my little group of back of the packers.
- my four legged running partners. They don't care what time it is, what my schedule is and won't skip the run for hockey. They are happy to go any time any place (just as long as its not over 5k for my Lab).0 -
-My family and the sacrifices they make for me to live healthy. My husband doesn't always get the hearty meals he wants because I need to cook lower calorie dinners for myself. My daughter stays at daycare longer most days than she has to because I am running or biking. Not to mention finances...
-My MFP friends. I really would not have lost 29 lbs and gotten in shape without MFP. I definitely would have been lost trying to compete without tips from everyone on MFP!
-The ability to run, bike, and swim. When I feel like "uggh I have to go run today" I should be saying "I GET to go run today, YES!" There are so many who can't do these things not because of choice but because of physical abilities.
-So much more!0
