So what are good foods to eat to lean out? What kind of Macro ratio should we be working towards?

They say abs are made in the kitchen, so post your nutrition tips with regards aiming for visible abs here.

Eat at a slight deficit (15-20% below TDEE)
    lift weights
    get adequate protein (1g/lb lean)

That'd be how I pursue it.

I agree, I try to aim for 1-2g of protein per pound of body weight. Foods that help me to stay lean are green vegetables, steel cut oats, lean meats (fish, chicken breast, turkey breast), egg whites, healthy fats (avocados, olive oil, nuts). Drink lots of water.

I leaned out with just trying to do 1 g protein per kg and now I'm up to trying 2 g per kg bodyweight complete (not pound). I calculated my lean mass as being 122 p (I'm 5' 11) and I aim for this in gram protein.Initially, before maintenance, a weight loss goal of 0.5 p a week and hitting macros as close as possible worked for me. Plus, I stopped drinking alcohol pretty much completely, it helped to lean out significantly.
