Should I eat my exercise protein?

So the rule of thumb is 1g protein per lb of bodyweight. Let's say I set up my MFP macros to be pretty close to that. Then I exercise, and the calories and macros go up in proportion.... So now my protein target is much, much higher than 1g per lb bodyweight. Most days I still hit that number. I'm getting what I think is more than enough protein.
My question is, if I lift weights like a madman but consume "only" my bodyweight in protein grams, am I still ok?

I don't.
It's just a weird thing about the site being that the macros have to be setup in %'s.
So if you are aiming for 1g/lb of BW then I would just aim to hit that each day. That is what I do with fats also. Set the % so that the fat number is the minimum I'm looking for each day. And I disregard the exercise adjustments for that also.0 -
I just hit the macros I have set up for myself. I don't think in percentages anymore!
I wish that we could somehow make protein and fats stay the same and only carbs move with exercise.
Maybe i am just sleepy and that made more sense in my head o.O0 -
I do things differently than MFP anyway, so I don't eat back exercise calories (the way I do it has me factoring those in to my total for the day already). I don't like how MFP changes my goals for me throughout the day, so I found a way that helps me ignore it...I don't log workouts. Makes meal planning easier...0
